MONTE VISTA — Monte Vista police are still investigating the March 26 death of Jacqueline Jones, 23, and have not ruled an official cause of death, according to a statement from Monte Vista Police Chief James Grayson on Monday.
On Wednesday, March 26, at approximately 6:45 a.m., officers from the Monte Vista Police Department were called to 435 Madison Street in Monte Vista regarding a person who was unconscious and not breathing. Upon arrival, officers found Jones unresponsive. Efforts to revive her were unsuccessful and an emergency room physician ordered first responders to cease cardiopulmonary resuscitation efforts and pronounced her dead at 7 a.m.
