ALAMOSA COUNTY — On January 21st, deputies with the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported burglary in the northern part of Alamosa County.
This initial investigation led Alamosa County Deputies into Costilla, Saguache and Pueblo County, where in an additional five previously reported burglaries were cleared.
As a result of this on going investigation officers have, to date, recovered equipment, tools and vehicles valued at over $200,000.
Currently, Patrick Neil Emrick, 41, has been arrested and charged with numerous crimes relating to these on going investigations. As these investigations continue, the recovery of additional property along with additional arrests is inevitable.
In addition, these ongoing investigations have provided law enforcement with new insight into the production and manufacturing technology for methamphetamine.
“The Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, led by Sergeant Jim McCloskey, along with the Costilla County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado State Patrol Investigative Unit have done an outstanding job of serving and protecting the citizens of the San Luis Valley,” said Alamosa County Sheriff Dave Stong.
