PEORIA, Ariz.—The Alamosa Mean Moose wrestling team has six of ten wrestlers alive entering the second and final day of the Peoria Wrestling Tournament.
According to assistant coach Rusty Johnson, the Moose are sitting in about 13th or 14th place. "We were sitting there entering the final consolation round and we did well there," he said. "We'll have to wrestle pretty well the rest of the way if we want to finish in the top 10."
There are two wrestlers who are still vying to championships and they are sophomore Tel Kelley and senior Neff Malouff. They are in the semifinals.
The other four wrestlers, who are competing in the consolations are David Gallegos, Kole Kelley, Dillon Vance and Nate Henry.
The Moose did take four other wrestlers down and they include Chris Aguirre, Brandon Heredia, Pablo Villare
