MONTE VISTA — Tri-County Senior Citizens’ 41st Annual Membership Meeting was held March 28. The meeting was very well attended.

President Harold Rominger called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone. Board of director and advisory board members were recognized. The staff of Tri-County Seniors were also recognized.

Financial reports as of December 31, 2012 for Tri County Activity fund-raisers The Transvan and Mountain View Manor, 311 Washington St., Monte Vista, were made available to members.

The dining room was very nicely decorated for spring. The board members were thanked for their diligent work on maintaining the Tri County Senior Center. They put up new dry wall on the ceiling of the dining room. Money from fund-raisers are used for supplies, like the paper for newsletters, and coffee provided daily for visitors. Some funds are raised for specific purposes like the new windows and shades that were put into the dining room.

Everyone as well as the general public was invited to attend a very delicious roast beef dinner prepared by the kitchen staff of South-Central Colorado Seniors at 12 p.m. Rev. David Keiry gave the blessing. The dinner was served by the Sangre De Cristo FBLA members (Carol Sessums, sponsor). There was no charge for the meal for members, and for non-members the charge was the same as the daily lunches served by the South-Central Senior kitchen.

There was a silent auction of 33 beautiful baskets that were bid on.
