Ygnacia Solis

Broomfield former Monte Vista resident Ygnacia Solis, passed away October 27, 2018 at the Broomfield Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her loving family by her side. Ygnacia was born on May 1, 1935 in Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Serapio Heredia and Arcadia Rojas-Heredia. Ygnacia devoted her life to caring for her family. She was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed preparing meals for family gatherings, cooking, baking, going shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters Blanca (George) Medina, Martha (Ben) Najar both of Denver, CO; sons Victor Solis, Saul (Sarah) Solis both of Denver, CO; Tito (Brenda) Solis of Monte Vista, CO; Bobby Solis, Henry Solis both of Denver, CO; 18 grandchildren, brothers Fidencio Heredia, Serapio Heredia, Mariano Heredia, Abelardo Heredia and Henry Heredia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ygnacia was preceded in death by her parents Serapio and Arcadia Heredia, husband Victor Solis, and two sisters Evangelina and Ofelia Heredia.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church in Monte Vista. Interment will follow at the Monte Vista Cemetery.
