William Herbert Smith, 63

William H. Smith (or Bill as he was sometimes called) was born November 22, 1955 in Alamosa, Colorado and passed away Jan 8 at St David's Hospital in Round Rock, Tx. He graduated from Monte Vista High School in May, 1974 and got his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Greeley, University of Northern Colorado, in December 1978. William was Service Coordinator for Builds/Maintenance of SMATV/Pay Per View systems in 83 hotels nationwide 4/87 - 4/92. He was Assistant Operations Manager at Terra Link Corporation, Manchaca, Texas- 12/83-2/87.  He was Supervisor of fiber and cable hybrid upgrades.

He was plant manager for Circle C Cable which included project extensions from start to finish. maintained and updated all permits and inventory control of equipment. General construction, cable/satellite consultant from 7/93 - 2/99. William was a Professional Certified Securities Officer and completed Act 1,2,3 and all E-Learning Models and held this position from March 2007 to May 2009.

William was a deep lover of anything musical and his numerous CD's show that he loved them all- from Rock to Jazz to Country and probably in that order. Everyone who met William immediately knew William knew no stranger and you immediately became an extension of his family. He enjoyed conversing on FB as well as land lines- he didn't care- He would call just to say "Hi".

William is preceded in death by his parents Herbert H. Smith and Mabel Smith of Monte Vista. His memories will live through his family and extended family in Round Rock: David Thompson (of over 30 years) and Juan Muro, sisters Rochelle Eriksen (Naudack) of South Fork, CO. and Renee Lindke (Naudack) of South Fork, CO. Nieces: Andrea Smith (Eriksen), LA. CA.and Nikki Eriksen, Mass., Cousins: Eddy Knittle, Reno, NV., Richard Knittle, Reno, NV., Janet Gambina, Ore., Carol Hanson, Thousand Oaks, CA., Connie White, Thousand Oaks, CA., Joni Brandt, HI, Steven Stoeber, Arizona, Shirley Campbell, (Stoeber) of Arizona, Ruthie Schwartz, South Dakota,and friends he was in constant touch with too numerous to list.

His positive attitude on everything and his infectious laugh will be missed. A "Celebration of Life" will be scheduled in Round Rock, Tx at a favorite Bar-B-Que place.
