Paul was born in Alamosa Colorado on 5/30/65 to Arthur and Maureen Gonzales. He graduated from Alamosa high school in 1983 and entered the Marine Corps. Paul spent over twenty years in the Marines and achieved the rank of Gunnery Sargent. He was a very proud Marine and his family and friends were very proud of him and his service.

Paul’s love of sports was a big part of his life and something that he shared with his kids and friends. In high school he played baseball and throughout his career in the military he continued to compete in various leagues and events. He enjoyed more than anything watching and coaching his kids as they competed in sports as they were growing up. He was a huge Denver Broncos fan and loved going to games to watch them play.

Paul was a very outgoing person and he lived life to the fullest. He spent the last years of his life with his loving girlfriend Michelle Gomez and her family. They enjoyed very much riding his Harley and boating, and spent a lot of time doing so in recent years. He was also very active in the Legion and enjoyed spending time with his fellow veterans.
