Oralia M. Garcia, 85, of Del Norte, Colorado went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 01, 1933 in Del Norte, CO to Alfonso Atencio and Rosabel Gallegos.
Oralia was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin and friend who enjoyed gardening, baking, fishing, camping, painting, crafts, spending time with family and friends and watching her favorite team the Denver Broncos. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary, Society of Pablanas and member of The Holy Family Society.
She is survived by her daughters; Shirley (Leroy Trujillo) Garcia of Del Norte, CO, Kathy (Phil) Pacheco of Pueblo, CO, Debbie J. (Mark Montez) Velasquez of Pueblo, CO, Leslie (Jeff) Martinez of Del Norte, CO; son Gilbert (Leona) Garcia of Del Norte, CO; sisters Ramona Atencio of Del Norte, CO, Diane (Pat) Ortiz of Grand Junction; sister-in-law Alice Atencio of Del Norte, CO; grandchildren Gerald (Pam) Velasquez of Buena Vista, CO, Leroy (Kathryn) Trujillo of Del Norte, CO, Jason (Jennifer) Velasquez of Del Norte, CO, Ramon (Missy) Trujillo of Colorado Springs, CO, Kelly (Nici) Garcia of Firestone, CO, Matthew (Lisa) Martinez of Thornton, CO, Kyle (Jordan) Garcia of Puerto Rico, Michael Martinez of Thornton, CO, Angela (Erin) Pacheco of Pueblo, CO, Georgia (Mario) Pacheco of Pueblo, CO, Krystal (Jeremy) Taylor of Amarillo, TX, Georgette (Dennis) Archer of Bremington, Washington, Aimee Martinez of Del Norte, CO; 20 great-grandchildren; family friend George Velasquez of Del Norte, CO. Also Survived by numerous extended family.
Oralia is preceded in death by her; husband Roger G. Garcia; parents Alfonso Atencio and Rosabel Gallegos; two brothers Ruben Atencio and Sam Atencio.
A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Del Norte, CO . A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM also at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Del Norte, CO. Interment will follow at the Del Norte Cemetery.
