Maria “Vigy” Barela, 71, went home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2018. Preceded in death by her Husband, Joe Ruybal; father, Jose V. Barela. She is survived by her mother, Hope Barela; sisters, Della Ruybal, Ruth Chavez, Myrna Leal; brothers, Benny Barela, Eric Barela and Robert Barela along with numerous, extended family and friends. “Vigy”, as she was known to all who loved her, was born and raised in La Jara, Colorado and graduated from Centauri High School in 1967. She has been a Denver resident since 1978.
