Manuel Nevarrez, a former Alamosa resident passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2018 in Denver, Colorado. Manuel was born on October 26, 1972 in Monte Vista, Colorado, to Viola Valdez and Manuel Nevarrez Sr. He was an avid sports fan, he especially loved the Denver Broncos. He was a dedicated hard worker and a man who loved his music, he always had his headphones on. Manuel had a very caring and generous heart with an awesome sense of humor. Manuel loved his children Stevie, Brittany and Manny Nevarrez dearly and was a devoted and loving father to them.

Survivors include his daughter Brittany Nevarrez, Stevie and Manny Nevarrez all of San Luis, CO; siblings Cathy Gallegos of Pueblo, CO; Floyd Valdez of Denver, CO; Richard Valdez of Antonito, CO; Joann (Ruben) Munoz of Northglenn, CO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Del Norte. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM also at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Del Norte. Interment will follow at the Del Norte Cemetery.
