Manuel Aguirre

ALAMOSA — Manuel Aguirre, 86, of Alamosa passed away surrounded by his family on July 18, 2019. He was born July 3, 1933 in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico to Maria Quinones Aguirre and Jose Aguirre.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Lucy (Velasquez) Aguirre and eight children, Micheal Aguirre of Alamosa, Manuel Aguirre of Alamosa, Lisa (Charlie) Lucero of Alamosa, Marline Aguirre of Phoenix, Ariz., Mathilda (David) Westerman of Alamosa, Chris (Christina) Aguirre of Canon City, Angela (Jesus) Diera of Alamosa, and Raymond Aguirre of Phoenix, Ariz. Along with 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria (Quinones) Aguirre, grand son Michael David Aguirre.

Manuels joys in life included; attending the Rolling Deep Car show, going to casinos in New Mexico, fishing in the mountains, watching westerns on TV, piñon picking, and spending quality time with his wife and family who all loved him dearly. He befriended everyone he met and always enjoyed a good laugh. He was loved by all and will be missed by many. Viewing is 11 a.m Tuesday, July 23, 2019 with service to follow at Iglesia Pentecostal Unida located at 907-10th St. in Alamosa.
