Lupe C. White November 22, 1944 ~ February, 4, 2019

Lupe C. White was born on November 22, 1944 in Los Angeles, CA to Alfredo and Bernice Abeyta; she was the second eldest of nine siblings. The Abeyta family moved to Center, CO shortly after Lupe was born and this is where she and her siblings grew up. Lupe married Frank A. White in 1963. After marrying, Lupe and Frank moved to Gunnison and later to La Jara where they raised their family. In 1988 the family moved to Denver where Lupe lived out the rest of her days. Lupe was a devoted mother and sister who loved to cook and take care of others. She touched so many lives with her caring and supportive nature.  In 2009, Lupe was diagnosed with brain cancer. She will always be remembered for her positive and fighting spirit. Lupe was a caring and loving grandmother who had an amazing sense of humor.  In her free time, she loved to play BINGO, play the slot machines, and scratch lottery tickets. Lupe was a fighter who never gave up and continued to be there for those in need up to the end.

Lupe is preceded in death by her parents, her infant son Jose, and beloved son David and is survived by her husband Frank, son Raymond (Shannon), daughters Elaine and Maria. In addition, she has eight grandchildren; Aaron (Breanna), Jordan (Tavion), Brooklynn (Justin), Makenzie, Zoey, Anna, Aubrey and Rita; along with three great grandchildren; Kaiya, Kianna and Tzion.

A memorial service will be held to honor Lupe’s life at Romero Funeral Home ~ Chapel of Remembrance, 15150 E. Illif Ave, Aurora CO on Saturday February 9th, at 5:00 pm, Doors open at 4:00 pm.
