Johnny Chris Lujan Sr.

ALAMOSA — Johnny Chris Lujan, Sr., 80 years old, passed away on November 15, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Coyote, N.M., to Emilio Lujan Sr. and Carolina Medina Lujan. He married Dorothy Lee Lujan on November 13, 1972 and they celebrated their 48th anniversary on November 13, 2019.

The most important thing in his life was his wife, children, grandchildren, great granddaughter, family and friends.

He was a hardworking man and always provided for his family. He installed great family morals and the importance of love to his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his friends, and the outdoors (fishing, hunting, camping, being in the mountains at the family cabin).

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, one daughter, four brothers and two sisters. 

Johnny is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Lujan; two daughters Irene (Eddie) Miller; Rita (Manuel) Archuleta; one son Gerald Lujan; one brother Emilio (Patsy) Lujan; numerous grandchildren, one great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 6 p.m. at Romero’s Funeral Home in Alamosa, CO. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Feed Store Church in Monte Vista, CO. Burial will follow at the Alamosa Cemetery.
