Holly Sue Navratil

Holly Sue Navratil, affectionately known as Buddy Holly, passed away on Dec. 21, 2023, in Colorado Springs, Colo., just shy of her 40th birthday.

She was born on Dec. 28, 1983, in Bemidji, Minn., to Alan Navratil and Paula Andree Navratil. She is survived by her mother Paula Andree, sister Lisa Navratil, her cat Nutmeg, a special friend Gerri Chacon Cummings and a large extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Alan Navratil.

Holly was a 2006 graduate from Trinidad State College Valley Campus with an Associate's Degree in Office Technologies. She worked part-time for the San Luis Valley Museum in Alamosa, Colo.

Holly spent most of her free time volunteering with SLV Special Olympics and People First. Holly volunteered at the San Luis Valley Health Medical Center as an Ambassador for 13 years and worked in Medical Records for 2 years.

Holly had a passion for singing and dancing, and she cherished spending time with her friends. In addition to her love for socializing, she also found joy in the culinary arts and became a skilled chef.

It will be Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, from 1-4 p.m., with the Eulogy and Remarks at 2 p.m. at the San Luis Valley Health Education and Conference Center, 1921 Main St., Alamosa, Colo.
