ALAMOSA – The Alamosa Elks Lodge No. 1,297 will host its annual hoop shoot Saturday at the Plachy Hall field house.
Registration is at 9 a.m. with the contest to begin at 10 a.m.
The hoop shoot is a free throw contest for children ages 8-13. There are three divisions for both boys and girls – 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. Ages are determined by the contestant’s age as of April 1 of this year.
Each contestant gets 25 free throw attempts. The winner in each age division for both the boys and the girls will advance to the district competition later this year.
