Dorothy Kinsell, former long time resident of Monte Vista, Colorado, went to be with her heavenly father on April 9, 2018. She passed away at the home of her daughter in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she and her husband Clay have lived since 2011.  Dorothy was born on December 1, 1926 in Amherst, Texas. She married Clay Kinsell of Stanley, New Mexico on April 16, 1947 in Las Vegas, New Mexico. While living in the Valley, they worked at the Monte Vista Livestock Auction for many years. 

Dorothy is survived by her husband Clay, three children- Clinton Kinsell (Gloria), Jean Cordell, and Joan Giere (George). There are 4 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 4 PM on April 14, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, 1605 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe, New Mexico, and interment will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
