Dennis Martinez, 69, of Winnemucca, Nev., passed away peacefully with his son Dominic by his side on March 25, 2023. Dennis was born Dec. 8, 1953, in Alamosa, Colo. He was welcomed into this world by his parents Elisardo and Pauline Martinez of Los Sauses, Colo.
Dennis worked 45 years in the mining industry as a hard rock miner in Colorado, Montana, Arizona, and Nevada. Prior to his passing he was the Operations Supervisor for Barick Gold Corporation in Winnemucca, Nev.
Dennis was a kind, happy, dependable man who was generous and always willing to help others. He enjoyed being outdoors, car shows, and spoiling his two dogs Cammie and Jazzie.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Elisardo and Pauline Martinez.
He is survived by his son Dominic Martinez, brothers Kenny Martinez, James Martinez, Wayne Martinez and sister Yolanda.
Memorial services will be at Our Lady of The Valley Church in La Jara, Colo., on Friday, May 26. Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. with Memorial Service immediately following.
