Clorinda Rodriguez

San Luis resident Clorinda Casilda Rodriguez, 97, passed away May 9, 2018 at the San Luis Care Center with her loving family by her side. Clorinda was born on May 1, 1921 in San Luis, Colorado, the daughter of Aniceto Quintana and Celsa Martinez Quintana. Clorinda devoted her life to caring for her family. She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, cousin and friend who enjoyed cooking, gardening, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters Joann (Cornelio) Arellano, Grace (Xavier) Serna, Jeanette Rodriguez, Genevieve (Adrian) Maestas all of San Luis, CO; Lorraine (Patrick) Gallegos of San Francisco, CO; sons Tom (Mary) Rodriguez of San Luis, CO; Cipriano (Bertha) Rodriguez of Thornton, CO; Tino (Wendy) Rodriguez , Gerald Rodriguez both of Colorado Springs, CO; Michael (Paulette) Montano of Denver, CO. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Clorinda was preceded in death by her parents Aniceto and Celsa Quintana, husband Donald Rodriguez, daughters MaryAnn Vigil, Louise Rodriguez, sons George Rodriguez, Gary Rodriguez, brothers Amarante Quintana, Flavio Sanchez and sisters Cleotilde Quintana and Elisa Madrid.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church in San Luis. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM also at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Sangre De Cristo Cemetery.
