Blanca resident Catherine Marie Espinosa, 71, passed away October 31, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Catherine was born on October 31, 1946 in San Luis, Colorado, the beloved daughter of Demosthenes Vigil and Aranita Jaramillo Vigil. She was united in marriage to Robert Espinosa on September 10, 2004. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Society. Catherine was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt cousin and friend who enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, sewing, knitting and spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include her husband Robert Espinosa of Blanca, CO; daughters Orlinda (Richard) Moore of PA; Adelita (JR) Villa of FL; and Juanita (Arnold) Montoya of Pueblo, CO; sons Andy Espinosa (Frankie Wilson) of Blanca, CO; Alex (Sherri) Espinosa of Garden City, KS; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sisters Dolores Garcia of Pueblo, CO; Shirley Vigil of Blanca, CO; brother Manuel (Paula) Vigil of Pueblo, CO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents Demosthenes and Aranita Vigil, daughter little Kay, sisters Juanita Vigil, Olivia Maestas, Ernestina Vialpando, Emma Espinosa and brothers Lorenzo Vigil, Wilbert Vigil, Woabert Vigil and Junior Vigil.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ft. Garland. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM also at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Blanca Cemetery. The care of arrangements have been entrusted to Romero Funeral Home of San Luis.
