Alamosa resident Anthony L. Gonzales, 57, passed away June 22, 2018 at his home under Hospice Care surrounded by his loving family. Anthony came into the world on October 9, 1960 in Alamosa, Colorado, the son of Frank Ray Gonzales and Jeanette Suazo Gonzales. Anthony was known for his personality and his love of being around people. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who enjoyed family barbeques, going for walks, and spending as much time as he could with his family and friends. Anthony was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his father Frank Gonzales of Alamosa, CO; daughter Amy Gonzales of Alamosa, CO; son Manuel (Hilary) Gonzales of Alamosa, CO; grandchildren Shante Rose Gonzales, Autumn Rose Gonzales, Marley Jane Gonzales, brothers Frank Gonzales Jr., of Alamosa, CO; Leslie (Belinda) Gonzales of Denver, CO; Jeff (Theresa) Gonzales of Ft. Worth, TX. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Anthony was preceded in death by his mother Jeanette Suazo Gonzales and his wife Rosalie Gonzales.
A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be held at a later date at the Alamosa Cemetery. The care of arrangements have been entrusted to Romero Funeral Home of Alamosa.
