Alamosa school board recognizes National School Counseling Week

Alamosa School District Board of Education Second Vice President Dr. Thomas Miller, Alamosa School District Board of Education Secretary Christine Haslett, Alamosa Elementary School Counselor Wendi Wiedeman, Alamosa School District Board of Education Treasurer Mandy Jackson, Alamosa Elementary School Counselor Mollie Benton, Alamosa School District Board of Education Assistant Secretary Jan De Sautell, Alamosa Elementary School Counselor Hillary Nipple and Alamosa School District Board of Education President Erica Romero stand together after the board proclaimed Feb. 5-9 to be National School Counseling Week during their meeting Monday evening.

"Words escape me," said Alamosa School District Superintendent Robert Alejo. "Education as a whole has changed so much over the years and we thank you for being here for our students."
