Jviation project managers Jason Virzi and Jon Weeks, Alamosa County Administrator Gigi Dennis, San Luis Valley Regional Airport Manager Dustin Allinger, Alamosa County Commissioners Helen Sigmond, Jviation Resident Engineer Kevin Scherr, local pilot Richard Woods and Four Corners Materials Project Manager Mike Stengel cut the ribbon to the new runway at the SLV Regional Airport on Friday. After three weeks of accelerated work and roughly $6.7 million to resurface it, service will resume on the runway when it opens back up tomorrow. Additionally, the repaved parking lot is schedule to open next week.
