Airport parking lot closes today

ALAMOSA — While San Luis Valley Regional Airport’s runway is being worked on, construction crews are using the closure period to also renovate the terminal’s parking lot.

The parking lot closes for construction today and is expected to reopen by the end of October. The new lot is estimated to have 60 spaces.

According to San Luis Valley Regional Airport Manager Dustin Allinger, passengers on inbound flights will still be able to access their cars and exit the terminal. The southern portion of the lot, highlighted in yellow on the photo, will still be available for parking. Vehicle activity in the lots will be monitored daily.
