ALAMOSA — Dan Russell is proposing the annexation of the Polston property to the Alamosa City Council with a construction start date set for April 2014.
The request calls for uniting the unincorporated, roughly 38-acre parcel, which is under ligation in district court, with the city in two zoning districts, according to the annexation application documents. Russell is asking 4.42-acres are zoned commercial business to accommodate the Alamosa RV Resort on the Rio Grande, LLC, leaving a bit more than 33-acres zoned agriculture tucked in next to the Rio Grande at the corner of Highways 17 and 160.
The council will hear Russell’s petition on Wed., Oct. 2 during their regular meeting, and decision will be made in the future after a public hearing is conducted. For the complete article see the 09-26-2013 issue.
