Posted: Friday, Oct 12th, 2012

LONGMONT — Clara “Punky” Marie Kintz, 66, died on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 surrounded by family in Longmont, Colo. She was born on October 7, 1946 in Monte Vista, Colo. to Katherine and Theodore Barton.

On November 21, 2012 Clara and her husband, Don Kintz, would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Clara was very talented and meticulous with all that she did. She had a bear making hobby that soon turned into a very successful business. More recently she has been the core of her daughter’s consignment toy business. She was the hardest worker and strongest woman that her family has ever known. She was the most generous lady, always so happy to celebrate a birthday, Christmas or the birth of a new baby.

She was happiest when she could breathe, walk, cook and do things like shop at garage sales, go out to eat and just be with her family.

Her interests included traveling with her husband. She was on the road with him for many years. Her favorite places were Branson, Missouri and meeting the grandkids in Disneyland. She always wanted to visit Hawaii.

She was our best friend and we will miss her with all our heart.

Clara is survived by her husband, Don; three siblings: Peggy (Ron) Smith, Harold (Nina) Barton, and Donnie (Chardell) Barton; three children: Brenda (Greg) Feldman, Donald (Michelle) Kintz Jr., and Terry (Heath) Kintz; seven grandchildren: Jessica and Shannon Feldman, Katie Schwiger, Angela and Joseph Kintz, Jennifer Kintz, and Ryan Rose; two great-grandchildren: Aiden Jones and Amadais Kintz; one cousin, Caroline Iwata and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Clara was preceded in death by her sisters Margret Brown and Janet (Patty) Wells.

Public visitation to be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 2 p.m. at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home. Cremation was entrusted to Carroll-Lewellen Funeral & Cremation Services – 503 Terry St., Longmont, Colorado.
