ALAMOSA — How often, in the history of the San Luis Valley, have you had the opportunity to hear a world-class hammered dulcimer player? Society Hall in Alamosa is just fortunate enough to bring you Ted Yoder! He’s the guy who had over 53 million views in four days, breaking a Facebook record! Check him out on-line and you will understand how he earned his reputation.
Yoder is a folk artist from Goshen, Indiana, master of the hammered dulcimer and Facebook viral sensation. His virtuosity is a visual and auditory feast with dramatic arcs as he composes a broad sweep of classic, pop, and original music.
Tickets are $15 in advance, either purchased online at societyhall.org or at the Green Spot in Alamosa. At the door tickets go up to $20. If you are a veteran, the Hall has 10 tickets available for $10, courtesy of SLV Federal Bank and Hosers Car Wash. If you would like to reserve your tickets, give Ruthie a call at 580-7838.
The show is scheduled for February 10th at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.
