Three Valley nurses honored

VALLEY — Congratulations to three nurses who represented the San Luis Valley at the annual statewide Nightingale Dinner in Denver.

They were three of 52 Colorado nurses from across Colorado honored as Nightingale Luminaries at a gala event attended by more than 400 attendees on Saturday, May 12, at CU Denver South in Lone Tree. A total of 235 nurses were nominated for this honor.

The Nightingale Luminaries represent the best of more than 60,000 registered nurses in Colorado and are recognized for their leadership, advocacy, and innovation. What the nurses have in common is their commitment to actions and outcomes in caring for their patients, their profession, and their communities.
