ALAMOSA – The Tri-Peaks League released its All-League team late in October with three Alamosa High School players earning recognition.
Sophomore center fielder Araceli Molina was a first team selection. Molina led the team in batting average at .448. She recorded 26 hits in 58 at-bats and she also had four doubles, one triple and one home run. She also scored 26 runs and stole 14 bases. She had an .882 fielding average.
Two more Lady Moose, junior first baseman Lexany Heredia and senior shortstop Alicia Rios, were both honorable mention.
Heredia batted .436 with 24 hits in 55 at-bats. She had seven doubles, two triples and four home runs. She scored 28 runs and stole five bases. She had an .828 fielding average.
Rios had a .385 batting average with 20 hits in 52 at-bats. She also had five doubles and one home run. Rios scored 19 runs and stole 11 bases. She had an .881 fielding average.
Wiley had the most All-League selections with seven, followed by Rocky Ford with six, La Junta with five, and Lamar with four. James Irwin had three selections, Dolores Huerta had three, Florence had three and Woodland Park had three.
Wiley’s Demi Magdaleno was the Coach of the Year.
Alamosa won 13 games and lost 11 and advanced to the Class 3A State Tournament.
