The Malm Trail volunteer day set for Sept. 30

ALAMOSA —The Rio Grande Headwaters Restoration Project has partnered with several local groups for a trail volunteer day on the Malm Trail network in Alamosa along the banks of the Rio Grande. The day will begin at the Malm trailhead located on South River Road at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, and go until noon.

Volunteers will assist in restoration efforts and have the opportunity to plant native vegetation and improve the trails. The partners are the City of Alamosa, Rio Grande Headwaters Restoration Project, SLV GO! and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
