WOLF CREEK — Colorado State Patrol identified Jian Wang, 40, of Plano, Texas as the victim of a fatality on Wolf Creek Pass Thursday evening.

According to the State Patrol, the 2015 Toyota Sienna Wang was driving lost control on westbound Colorado 160 and ran off of the right side of the roadway colliding with a concrete barrier about 4 p.m. on March 15. Wang got out of the vehicle while it was in motion and was walking alongside the vehicle attempting to assist the rear passengers, according to State Patrol, when a second westbound vehicle, a 2014 GMC SUV driven by Michael Wagliardo, 39, of Dallas, Texas, collided with Wang and pushed him into his vehicle.

Wang was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other injuries in the crash.

Weather was a factor with fog and snow, and the roadway was icy.  The Colorado State Patrol will not be pursuing charges in this case.
