ALAMOSA – The Colorado High School activities Association posted its brackets for the state volleyball tournaments on Tuesday. The brackets are on the CHSAANow.com web site.
The state tournaments will take begin Thursday at the Denver Coliseum.
In Class 3A, Centauri is the 12th seed and it will play fifth-seeded Gunnison at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday The winner of this match will play fourth-seeded Alamosa at approximately 3:30 p.m. that same day.
Should the Lady Falcons lose, they will play at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
An Alamosa win will have it advance to the third round at 2 p.m. on Friday. If the Lady Mean Moose lose, they will play at 8 a.m. on Friday.
In Class 2A, eighth-seeded Del Norte will play ninth-seeded Haxtun Thursday at 8 a.m. If the Lady Tigers win, they will face top-seeded Simla at 2 p.m. that same day. If they lose, they will play at 11 a.m. on Friday.
Sanford is the 12th seed in Class 2A and it will play fifth-seeded Colorado Springs Christian Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Should the Lady Mustangs win they will play fourth-seeded Swink at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. If Sanford loses, it will play at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
In Class 1A, Sargent is the ninth seed and it will take on eighth-seeded Hi-Plains Thursday at 8 a.m. If the Lady Farmers win they will play top-seeded Merino at 2 p.m. on Thursday. If Sargent loses it will play at 11 a.m. on Friday.
The semifinals for all classifications will be Saturday at noon and 2 p.m., and the championship matches are at 6 p.m.
