ALAMOSA – The Colorado High School Activities Association released its All-State cross country teams on Tuesday with six runners from the San Luis Valley being honored.
Placing the highest was Alamosa High School senior Elizabeth McQuitty who was a first team selection after finishing in second place in the Class 3A girls meet.
The other Lady Mean Moose, junior Victoria Gifford was an honorable mention selection.
For the Alamosa boys, two runners were honorable mention in freshman Ethan Merrick and senior Tyler Dokson.
Centauri High School’s only representative, senior Carson Bagwell, was an honorable mention runner.
In Class 2A, Del Norte High School sophomore Frannie Edelen was an honorable mention selection.
