ALAMOSA — New this year to the Alamosa Round-UP is the Bulls and Bandits 5K Run! Participants can run, walk or stroll along the 5K path.
Onlookers are welcome to set up lawn chairs along the route and cheer on their favorite runners. Or if they dare, spectators can cheer on the “bulls” (4 wheelers decorated like bulls) and “The Bandits” (dressed up with squirt guns).
Cowboy dress up is optional, but always fun! There will be face painting, vendor booths, BBQ and a beer garden. It will be a super fun event for all. Information, updates and fun posts will be made on the Alamosa Round-UP Facebook page, and Bulls and Bandits Event Page.
This Year’s Bulls and Bandits 5K Sponsors include: Valley Wide Health Systems, Honeycutt Rodeo, Friday Health Plans, CRC Farms, Goal High School, SLV Sports and Wellness, Adam’s State University, Amy McKinley 4 County Treasurer, Hogues Glass and Valley Textile.
The 1st Annual Christmas Rudolph Run was such a fun event, Round-UP decided to add a run to the line-up of Round-UP events. The run will be professionally timed, trophies will be given to age group winners, and rescue staff will be on hand if the need arises. Enter at imathlete.com/events/RoundUPCowboyRun There are plenty of T-shirts and goody bags, so get signed-up.
This is sure to be a one-of-a-kind run, a cross between the Barcelona Running of The Bulls and Xtreme Bandits Squirt Gun Wars! Come out and run, jog, walk, stroll or just watch! The 2018 Bulls and Bandits Run will be the perfect ending to what is sure to be a Great Alamosa Round-UP.
