ALAMOSA – The Sierra Grande baseball team has advanced to regional action in Class 1A and it will face Flatirons Academy Saturday a 12:30 p.m. at Byers High School.
The Panthers are the 15th seed and the Buffalos are the second seed.
Should Sierra Grande win, it will face the winner of the game between seventh-seeded Haxtun and 10th-seeded Holly. That game will be played also today at 3 p.m. at Byers.
If the Panthers win the region, they will play in the Class 1A State Tournament which will take place May 16 at All-Star Park in Lakewood.
