ALAMOSA — The Alamosa Police Department is on the scene of a reported shooting in the area of 8th Street and Denver. According to Police Chief George Dingfelder, one person was shot and a “person of interest” has been taken into custody. The status of the shooting victim is not known at this time other than the individual was transported to a local hospital.
This is an active investigation and more information will be made public as it becomes available. The incident poses no risk to the community.
