Sammy A. Romo, 55, of Center, Colorado, passed away on August 21, 2025. He was born March 27, 1970, in Alamosa, CO, to Elfido Romo and Alicia (Archuleta) Romo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jimmy Romo; granddaughter, Emira Faith Romo; nephew, Patrick Silva Jr.; and his beloved best friend, Maximillian of Shadow Land.
Sammy is survived by his loving partner/wife of 31 years, Carmen Romo; daughter, Jeraylee Romo (Jaime Molinar); cherished granddaughter, Hazelle Molinar; parents-in-law, Esther and David Maes; sister-in-law, Renee; He is survived by his three brothers, Melvin Romo, Ivan Romo (Una), and Elfido Romo Jr. (Janet); four sisters, Darlena Ralston (Richard), Lisa Romo (partner, Manuel Velasquez), Gloriana Romo, and Linda Romo; and his beloved fur babies, Duke, Charley, and Jasper.
Sammy loved life and embraced it fully. He was a talented carpenter and apartment manager in Greeley, Colorado, a passionate fisherman, and a man who held a strong faith in Jesus Christ. He cherished his Bible, shared his praises, and was loving, generous, and devoted to his family, friends, and faith. Sammy especially cherished his nephew Patrick Silva Jr., who was like a son to him. The two shared countless side jobs together, and Sammy could always count on Patrick to help him gather wood for the season — a bond that brought him great pride and joy.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held October 4, 2025, at St. Francis Jerome Catholic Church, 781 Warden Street, Center, Colorado at 12:00 pm.
