Lifetime Alamosa County resident, Robert Ruybal Sr., 79, passed away quietly in his home on June 24, 2018. He was born on August 27, 1939 at the Conejos Ranch to Joe Roger Ruybal and Rubenstina Dupont Ruybal. He became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1983. John 14:21 “Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. In turn, whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will clearly show myself to him.”
Robert is survived by his wife Cordy Ruybal, daughters, Roberta Martinez, Jackie Ruybal Cunningham, Tammy Ruybal and his sons Roberto Ruybal, Jr. and Ricky Raymond Ruybal, step-children, Renee Scarce, Rory Vigil, Tracy Vigil, Chris Vigil and Jason Vigil, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, his siblings, Ann Ruybal Stewart, Pauline Duran, Arthur Ruybal Sr., Lee Dupont Ruybal, Freddie Ruybal and Lawrence Ruybal as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Margaret Arellano and Leona Salazar.
Cremation was selected and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday June 30, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 10922 East US Highway 160 in Alamosa. To express condolences, please visit www.rogersfunerals.com
