Better known to the community as Bob, he was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Monte Vista, Colorado to Dee Archie Myers and Nell Eurica (Mellott). He spent most of his grade school years in Summitville and then graduated from Del Norte High School. In high school he met the love of his life, Norma Hanna. He always had a story for family and friends about his life either in Summitville, the dude ranch or on the home place. He and Norma were graceful dancers in their younger days and the kids enjoyed watching them when they had a chance. He was an avid reader until his eyesight failed enough that he was unable to continue that hobby.
