The change is needed to address recently acquired lands in Conejos County, Colorado that were not included in the Rio Grande National Forest’s land base when the LMP was initiated in July of 2020.

MONTE VISTA, Colo. – The Rio Grande National Forest announced the inclusion of an administrative change to the Forest’s Land Management Plan (LMP). The change is needed to address recently acquired lands in Conejos County, Colorado that were not included in the Rio Grande National Forest’s land base when the LMP was initiated in July of 2020.

If you have input or comments related to this proposed change to the LMP, please submit those, via email to comments-rocky-mountain-rio-grande@usda.gov. The period for submitting comments specific to this proposed change goes until January 15, 2022.
