It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dick Lee, who departed this life on Nov. 23, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on Feb. 20, 1932, in Alamosa, Colo., to Pascual A. Lee and Mildred (Noriega) Lee.
He was married to his beloved wife Katie Lou (Kimmons) Lee in 1954 in Alabama. While serving in the US Navy. They had four children.
Dick was a well-known member of his community. He had been a real estate agent, insurance agent, men’s clothing store owner (El Cids), car salesman and served in the US Navy. He loved playing sports; golfing, football, baseball, skiing and racquetball.
Dick is survived by his daughter Denise Lee Marquez (Alamosa), and daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Cleave Simpson (Alamosa); grandchildren Jacob Marquez, Brandi Cortez, Jessica Ketcham, Britany Goering, and Jared Simpson; son-in-law Barry Ketcham; daughter-in-law Dana Lee; sisters Phyllis Melgares, Ema Martinez, Therese Archuleta, brother Josaphat Lee; seven great-grandchildren and several loved in-laws, niece's, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Katie Lou (Kimmons), his son Steven J. Lee, daughter Monica (Kim) Ketcham. Father Pascual A. Lee, mother Mildred (Noriega) Lee, brother James Lee and sister Barbara Salazar.
A visitation and services are set for Saturday, Nov. 30, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa – 9 a.m. visitation and 10 a.m. church service.
Dick Lee will be deeply missed but forever remembered with laughter and love.
