Monte Vista resident Ramon “Noodles” Flores, went to his eternal rest on September 19, 2018 in Denver, Colorado surrounded by his loving family. Ramon was born on August 1, 1984 in Monte Vista, Colorado, the beloved son of Manuel Flores and Teresa Naranjo Flores. Ramon was a kind hearted, loving and outgoing son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who had many hobbies. Some of these hobbies included going fishing and camping, looking for elk horns, playing dice, doing woodwork and carpentry, knife collecting, archery and above all being with his family, children, nieces and nephews and listening to music. Ramon’s time here with us was not nearly long enough, but he left everyone he met with lifelong memories to cherish. He is already dearly missed.
Survivors include his parents Manuel Flores of Mexico and Teresa Flores of Monte Vista, CO; girlfriend Zoe Simmons of Monte Vista, CO; daughter Maricella Ray Flores of Monte Vista, CO; son Marciano Flores of Monte Vista, CO; sister Madeline Flores (Josh Gutierrez) of Monte Vista, CO; brothers Manuel and Alonzo Flores both of Monte Vista, CO; grandmother Beneranda “Bennie” Naranjo of Monte Vista, CO. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ramon was preceded in death by his nephew Cruzito Flores, maternal grandfather Horacio “Red” Naranjo and paternal grandparents Salvador and Josephina Flores.
A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 7:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10:00 AM also at St. Joseph Church. Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday from 1-5 PM at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. Interment will follow at the Workers Union Cemetery.
