The Penguin running club got a beautiful day for their 1st annual Racing Hearts 5k at Cole Park. Over 40 runners came across the finish line with ages from 8-50 years old.

ALAMOSA — The Penguin running club got a beautiful day for their 1st annual Racing Hearts 5k at Cole Park. Over 40 runners came across the finish line with ages from 8-50 years old.
The overall male winner Martin Villalva ran the course in 23:05. Mike Henderson was behind him with the time of 23:42. Third place for the men was middle school runner Mario Villalba with the time of 23:54. For the women middle school distance runner Annahi Molina finished in 24:12. 4th grade All American Araceli Molina came across in 24:12. Close behind her was fellow teammate Jayden Wubben in 24:54.
The kids 3k got a great turnout and it could be said to be a success. Gavin Crawford finished first for the boys with the time of 14:42. Angie Molina finished first for the girls with the time of 16:02. Complete results follow.
