Patrick Grafton Allaart was born September 21, 1956 in East Rochester, New York to Joyce Houser Allaart (1960) and Howard C. Allaart (2000).
His siblings Ward Allaart, Marcia Allaart, Edna Allaart-Nichols, have also preceded him in death - his brother Stan Allaart (Lisen) and baby brother Robert Allaart live in Alamosa.
His journey through life brought him to Colorado, in the summer of 1973, along with his step-mother Isabel Allaart and step-siblings - Ann, Maryelizabeth (Frank Keels), Richard, and Max.
He was adopted into the family of Faustin and Claudina Trujillo, in Ft. Garland. Also preceded him in death are his siblings Jake, Johnny, Manuel, and Mary. Surviving siblings are David (Dee) Trujillo, Veronica (Jose) Sanchez, Carmel Ambriz, Patsy Ontiveros, and Manuelita (Tim) Caudle.
Also many nephews and nieces he dearly loved.
Patrick married his high school sweetheart Pamela Gonzales in 1977, gaining another family within the Gonzales’. He joined usaf in 1977 and served twenty years retiring in 1997. He traveled the world together with his beautiful family and made new friends who he considered his military family.
He is survived by his loving wife, and three children - Justin (Pamela) Allaart, West Point, ia; Mandi (Lucas) Pettigrew, Ft. Garland, CO.; Trish Allaart, Alamosa, CO. His seven grandchildren were the joy of his life - Chase, Deja, Garrick Pettigrew; Nevaeh, Dominic Martinez; Judah, Uriyah Allaart.
More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family whether that be watching TV, watching sports, sharing a story with a beer or two, or trying his luck at gambling. He was very blessed, and we were very blessed to have him.
A funeral service will be held on January 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Ft. Garland Community Center with full military honors. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be held later.
