MONTE VISTA — Monte Vista resident Patricia I. Morgan-Lloyd went to her eternal rest on Dec. 9, 2019 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
Patricia was born on Aug. 8, 1940 in Santa Fe, N.M., the beloved daughter of Arthur Nalon Morgan Jr., and Dorothy Jamison Morgan.
Patricia had a passion for learning and teaching others. She obtained a master’s degree and was a teacher for many years.
A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Patricia enjoyed painting, doing crafts, reading, and playing games that challenged her brain.
She also enjoyed writing columns for the Valley Courier. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She will live on through her daughter Patricia Vanderford of Monte Vista; son John B. (Joy) Lloyd III of North Adams, Mass.; grandchildren Zander (Tara J.) Lloyd of South Fork; Victoria Ireene Phillips of Farmington, N.M.; Jordyn Myia-Lloyd of North Adams, Mass.; great-grandchildren Jacob O’Ryan-Lloyd of Cheyenne, Wyom.; Johnathan Drew Phillips Twite of Creede; Patience Christine Phillips of Monte Vista; brothers Lonny (Marylee) Morgan of Santa Fe, N.M.; Steve Morgan of White Rock, N.M.; Jami Morgan of Los Alamos, N.M.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Nalon and Dorothy Morgan Jr., and her sister Michele Leger.
Cremation was chosen and services will be held at a later date.
