ALAMOSA — The Alamosa Fire Department worked for approximately three hours Sunday night containing a fire at 421 Sixth Avenue, the previous location of El Charro Cafe.
According to Don Chapman, the department chief, they received a call around 8 p.m. and focused their attention on the rear of the building. The front is in better condition but suffered significant smoke damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and Chapman wouldn't disclose if the building had any occupants.
