Alamosa resident Michael Anthony “Tony” Newton, Sr., 54, passed away at his home in Alamosa July 18, 2018.
Tony was born in Alamosa, Colorado to Richard Robert Newton and Kathy J. Cordova on October 31, 1963.
He worked for several years and most recently at the San Luis Valley Health Regional Medical Center in the Janitorial Department. He loved spending time in the mountains camping and fishing. Tony was an avid Denver Broncos fan and loved watching them play.
He is survived by his mother Kathy Vialpando of Alamosa; his son Michael Newton, Jr., of Garden City, Kansas; and his brother Richard Newton of Alamosa; His cousins; Anthony Madrid, Harold Madrid, Donny Madrid, Michelle Madrid and Suzanne Cordova. His Niece, Elysia Cordova. His nephews; Christopher and Kenneth John; as well as numerous other cousins, extended family and friends.
Tony is preceded in death by his father Richard and his sister Debbie Newton.
