ALAMOSA – The Valley Courier is proud to announce the 2024 Miss Merry Christmas and Little Miss and Mister Christmas for 2024. This tradition has been a part of the newspaper for more than 30 years.
Miss Merry Christmas will be Brindi Gallegos, a senior at Alamosa High School. She was chosen as one of two AHS homecoming queens this fall. She is the student body president, a tutor, sports manager and athlete.
Brindi is also a dual enrollment student at Adams State University where she will soon obtain her undergraduate degree. After graduation, she will continue her education at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with the intention of becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
She is the daughter of Derek and Alicia Sisneros and a big sister to Nicko and Chayce. Currently a manager at Ski Hi 6 as well as a sales associate at Maurices, in her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and volunteering with the children’s ministry at her Church.
A fun fact, she was Little Miss Merry Christmas in 2014 and honored to be Miss Merry Christmas 10 years later in 2024.
Myla Abeyta is Little Miss Merry Christmas and the daughter of Michael and Brittney Abeyta. She is a student at Alamosa Elementary School in Alamosa.
Little Mister Christmas this year will be Jameson Marquez, the son of Donovan and Rachel Marques. Jameson is 6 years old and attends Alamosa Elementary.
The honorees will be featured in the annual pre-Black Friday edition on Wednesday, Nov. 28.
