Marylyn Christine Williams Hostetter

A graveside service was held for Marylyn Christine Hostetter, on Oct. 26, 2019, in the Sanford Cemetery. She peacefully passed away that morning.  Marylyn was born on Dec. 25, 1941, to Peter Glenn and Pearl Kathleen (Dickerson) Williams, in Asheville, N.C.

Marylyn grew up and lived in Asheville, were she attended school and graduated. Here she worked and married and raised her four children, Gene, Jamie, Michelle and Kelly.  Marylyn had a true southern charm that matched her sweet North Carolina accent. She worked hard and was a natural at the computer; which helped her excelled in the work field.  Marylyn was a gifted seamstress and had many talents and hobbies.  She loved reading, cooking, crocheting, sewing, and making anything by just looking at the picture.

Marylyn has always had a love for her family and doing genealogy.  Through her family history endeavors she expanded her family tree with hundreds of names of ancestors and family. We know this has been a joyous reunion for her and her family, on the other side of the veil.

Marylyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was through the church that Marylyn met her eternal companion, Frank Hostetter.

They were married in Oct. 2000, in the Denver Temple. Frank’s home had always been in Colorado; therefore, Marylyn packed up and left her beloved North Carolina for her new home in Sanford.  She, being an outgoing and loving person, made many new and dear friends. In the San Luis Valley, she worked as a bookkeeper for farmers, and was well known for soups she would surprise those in the office with.

Marylyn is survived by her sons, Alfred Eugene Huntsinger Jr. and James David Huntsinger; her daughters, Robin Michelle Huntsinger, and Kelly Anita Banner (Garret Shreffler); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her two brothers, Robert Glenn Williams and James Richard Williams, all of North Carolina.  Her stepchildren, Mark (Tracy) Hostetter, Marlin (Berna) Hostetter, Donita Crowther and Melena Archuleta — and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two former husbands.
