ALAMOSA — Mary Louise Frink died in Alamosa, Colo., on Friday, April 12, 2019.
She was born in North Vernon, Ind. on Aug. 12, 1925. Her father was a trader, dealing in horses and real estate, and her hard-working mother refurbished and ran the farms, businesses and houses that were acquired.
During her youth, Louise lived in Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia and Florida. She was a cow-girl at heart.
Louise’s frequent moves continued on throughout her life. She married Emory Burdette Frink in Florida on Dec. 9, 1948. He was an Air Force officer with three young children. As an adult she lived in Japan, Wyoming, California, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. She was proud of being in real estate all of her life. She was honored to be a mother to five children, having two of her own, and a foster parent to four others. Strong-willed, independent, quick to laugh and full of love, she inspired everyone she met. She taught her children to be self-sufficient and to rely on God.
Emory and Louise held strong Christian values. They would spread their faith to people through kindness and love. They took part in many churches and started a church in their home that is thriving today. Louise played the piano beautifully and would arrange pieces in a song to fit her style. She loved playing for the Lord in all of the churches she attended. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
