Ora Jaramillo, 93, of Center, Colorado, passed away December 2, 2022. Ora was born on November 25, 1929, in Blanca, Colo., to Bertha and Epifañio Garcia and grew up in Monte Vista, Colo. She was married to Salomon Jaramillo Jr. for 72 years.
Ora was a cook at the Center Head Start for 29 years. She was best known for her homemade bread and red chile. Her hobbies included embroidery, crocheting, gardening, baking, cooking, and trying out new recipes.
Ora is survived by her husband Salomon Jaramillo Jr., Her children James (Mary) Jaramillo; Larry Jaramillo; Fran Trujillo and Maria Jaramillo; Her siblings Jenny Pasias and Becky Flores. Also 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Ora was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and children: Cleo Jaramillo Estrada (65), Florence Rael (65), Kenny Jaramillo (51), and infant son, Raymond Jaramillo (9 months) and grandson Raymond Trujillo.
A Rosary vigil will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 5 p.m. and the funeral mass will be December 8, 2022, at 9 a.m. at Saint Francis Jerome Catholic Church in Center, Colorado, with a burial following in La Garita Cemetery.
